Role description
Position: Revenue Integrity Data Analyst
Duration: Long Term Contract
Location: Remote
We are looking for someone that is familiar with Supply, has Implemented Chargemaster, and that has the ability/experience to recognize and review supplies that are chargeable or routine.
Must Have: Cerner Experience; Supply Chain Management Exp.
Need to understand:
HCPCS Codes/Charges as it relates to CMS Guidelines and Supply Charging
Supply Charging Guidelines/Chargeable vs. Non-Chargeable
Researching of Supplies to assign appropriate Code
Able to work large files and team on Supply process
2-3 Years of Revenue Cycle, Charge Capture and or Coding Experience
Heavy Data Driven Role
Preferred:
RHIA, CCS-P and or CPC Certification
Summary: Responsible for reviewing and auditing record documents to identify incorrect patterns or trends of charges throughout the organization and maintain charge integrity in compliance with CMS and other regulatory agencies. Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of the various regulatory agency guidelines and assure requirements are met along with accurate, complete and timely charge processes. This position will work throughout the organization nationally and with all types of departments and varying systems (i.e. Medhost, Cerner) and other systems to assure accurate charge processes. Responsibilities to include auditing current charge to chart documentation and appropriate charge capture. This position will need to develop a tracking document to assure accurate charge processes are implemented and maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Document reports and findings along with recommendations and action plans for improvement
• Implements and tracks action plans needed to assure for compliance of standard charge capture practices
• Assist clinical staff with updating, implementing and training staff to perform new charge processes
• Works with the charge master team on charging policy and procedures, education to the facilities and appropriate revenue by department.
• Provides support to all facilities on charge questions, training and education and charge reconciliation and capture.
• Works with the divisions on any charge, revenue issues or concerns related to charge audits including investigating and resolving root cause issues.
• Captures and reports findings in on Excel spreadsheets or Access databases
• Provides feedback and assist during the corrective action process.
• Drafts monthly summary for Leadership
• Daily reports of findings, issues, resolutions, etc. for hospital leadership
