Contract Description:
• Lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of cloud-native PaaS/SaaS solutions for Revvity Signals Vitro Vivo, including Python-based microservices, multi-tenant designs, API gateways, service meshes, and secure, scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Design and operate modern delivery and platform capabilities, including infrastructure-as-code with Terraform/CloudFormation, containerization with Docker, orchestration on Kubernetes (EKS/ECS), and robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) with automated testing, quality gates, and safe deployment/rollback strategies.
• Explore, prototype, and productionize Generative AI and Agent-based AI use cases within Signals Vitro Vivo and engineering workflows (e.g., developer productivity, test generation, workflow automation, product features) while establishing responsible AI guardrails and governance.
• Implement and continuously improve reliability, observability, and resilience, including logging/metrics/tracing (CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana), performance tuning, security assessments, AWS disaster recovery strategies (RPO/RTO, multi-AZ/region, backup/restore, failover testing, chaos experiments), and root-cause analysis.
• Champion software engineering excellence and collaboration, enforcing SDLC best practices (requirements traceability, design/peer code reviews, secure coding, automated testing, release management), modern web/API engineering (REST/GraphQL, event-driven patterns, WebSockets, caching/CDN), and mentoring engineers while partnering closely with product, security, data, and platform teams.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a technical lead or senior engineer building and operating cloud-native applications and microservices in Python on AWS, with strong knowledge of software engineering methodologies (domain-driven design, clean architecture, SOLID, twelve-factor apps).
• Hands-on expertise with Revvity Signals Vitro Vivo, including practical knowledge of in-vivo/in-vitro workflows and integrating data and automation within the Signals Vitro Vivo ecosystem.
• Deep container and Kubernetes experience, including Docker, EKS/ECS, deployments/statefulsets, ingress, autoscaling (HPA/VPA), resource quotas, RBAC, network policies, and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) with strong focus on cluster security and multi-tenant isolation.
• Strong background in platform engineering and DevOps practices, including designing multi-tenant PaaS/SaaS architectures, building CI/CD pipelines with automated tests and progressive delivery, managing infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and implementing observability, SLAs/SLOs, and environment hardening with robust secrets management.
• Experience applying modern web and AI-powered engineering techniques, such as REST/GraphQL APIs, event-driven architectures, performance optimization, as well as exploring and integrating Gen AI and Agent AI into engineering workflows; excellent communication and collaboration skills with a track record of mentoring and leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Must be local to Rahway, NJ, hybrid onsite 2-3 days a week
