Risk & Controls Implementation Specialist

Our client, a leading firm in the Asset Management and Financial Services industry, is seeking a dedicated Risk & Controls Implementation Specialist to join their team. As a Risk & Controls Implementation Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Risk Management department supporting compliance and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: Risk & Controls Implementation Specialist Location:New York, NY 10172 (Hybrid: 2-3 days in-office) Pay Range:$50-58hr What's the Job? • Develop and formalize comprehensive asset management risk and control inventories based on existing control assessments. • Design and implement compliance monitoring and testing plans to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations. • Collaborate with Corporate Compliance and Risk teams to identify, map, and address gaps between local operations and corporate mandates. • Prepare high-quality, audit-ready documentation to support regulatory examinations and ensure regulatory readiness. • Align departmental work processes with the firm-wide risk taxonomy to promote consistency and clarity across teams. What's Needed? • At least 5 years of experience in Asset Management, with a focus on Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, or Internal Audit. • Deep understanding of the asset management lifecycle and relevant regulatory frameworks (SEC, FINRA, etc.). • Experience with GRC tools, Salesforce, or advanced data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI is highly preferred. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to map complex processes and identify control gaps. • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to effectively work with risk leaders and translate technical insights into actionable requirements.
