Role description
Overview
This is a high-profile contract with a leading London-based broadcasting company, starting ASAP. The role offers a 6-month initial engagement with the strong potential to extend for the right candidate. This role involves supporting the implementation of a SaaS Data Security Posture Management solution, including the integration of data classification and retention tools with Microsoft 365 and Records Management systems. The engineer will evaluate and deploy automated tools (potentially AI-powered) for data discovery, access control, and compliance, while working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams. Key skills include expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure automation, records management, and data security, along with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
Support Solution Lead with engineering tasks necessary to implement the chosen solution
Evaluate and recommend automated tools (including use of AI where useful) to identify and classify data stored in various Company SaaS services
Undertake engineering tasks associated with the implementation of data classification tools, including integration with Microsoft Data Lifecycle management solutions for Records Management with Office 365
Assist Solution Lead with implementation of retention labelling approach alongside business stakeholders
Implement appropriate access control and audition solution in line with Company policy and as per design
Work with Company teams to develop and implement JML processes associated with use of the compliance and records management functions
Act as Technical SME
Key Skills
Awareness of data security posture management and using tools to manage this at scale
Experience of O365 and Azure automation/engineering in a large and complex organisation
Good understanding of records management principles and best practices
Ideally experience with Microsoft Purview and other relevant Microsoft 365 tools
Good understanding of Entra security
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and organisational skills
