Role description
Contract Sales & Marketing Analyst Location: Nashville, TN – Fully On-Site Position Type: Contract (6 Months, with potential for permanent conversion) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Contract Sales & Marketing Analyst to support commercial decision-making across Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management for a premier hospitality owner-operator. If you are a data-first analyst who gets energized by complex data, loves connecting the dots across a commercial portfolio, and can turn a complex dataset into a clear story for a room full of executives, this role is for you. This is a high-visibility position sitting at the intersection of sales, marketing, and revenue management. The professional who lands this role will have real influence from day one, working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven reporting, analysis, and actionable insights. Key Responsibilities • Commercial Reporting: Own and deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting for commercial leadership, including performance summaries, dashboards, pacing reports, and KPI trackers. • Data Synthesis: Gather and validate data from multiple vendor platforms and internal systems, building it into meaningful business insights. • Trend Analysis: Dig into transient and group business trends to surface insights that drive strategic portfolio performance. • Strategic Planning Support: Support upcoming budgeting, forecasting, and market research processes for commercial functions. • Tool Development: Contribute to the development of analytical tools and process documentation to improve long-term performance visibility. • Stakeholder Communication: Partner closely with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, field teams, and external vendors to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications • Experience: 6+ years of dedicated experience in analytics, commercial reporting, or a closely related field (a true data-first background rather than a marketing generalist profile). • Advanced Excel Skills: Mastery of building and maintaining complex analytical files, reporting models, and structured workbooks is non-negotiable. • Power BI Proficiency: Proven experience building dashboards, reports, and data models. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to make data accessible to executive leadership. • Project Management: Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to self-manage competing priorities and tight deadlines. • Education: Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Economics, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points) • Experience in hospitality, hotels, or property management. • Familiarity with industry-specific platforms and metrics (e.g., STR, Costar, RevPAR, ProfitSword, Revinate, or Amaze). • Multi-property or portfolio-level reporting background. • Exposure to customer review analytics or sentiment analysis.
