Role description
Job Title: Salesforce Data & Marketing Cloud Engineer Duration of project: 6 months Location: 100% Remote Note: This is a Salesforce Data Cloud + Salesforce Marketing Cloud engineer role. Candidates should be able to demonstrate real world experience working in both. They must also be a self-starter, work independently, and communicate/coordinate well with team members and stakeholders. Description: The Technical Producer works within the Consumer Engagement team to provide support to end business users in the process of developing, coding and launching complex email and SMS campaigns. This role focuses primarily on translating end user stated business objectives into actionable solutions and understanding end user communication needs and data streams. This includes designing and documenting solutions to leverage automation, dynamic content, data-driven segmentation and other sophisticated Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities to maximize end user success. This role includes using Salesforce Marketing Cloud's proprietary scripting language, automation and database tools to execute highly dynamic, data-driven campaigns. This role also includes using Salesforce Data Cloud for data staging, calculated insight development, segmentation, and activation. Responsibilities: • Leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools and scripting languages including but not limited to Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, Audience Builder, Automation Studio, & Dynamic Content Areas to deliver highly dynamic and personalized content • Work with the customer to understand key campaign parameters and requirements • Work with other members of the Consumer Engagement team to provide best practice recommendations to customers • Design and document solutions that leverage automation, dynamic content, data-driven segmentation and other sophisticated Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities to maximize customer success • Leverage a foundational understanding of data modeling to determine data flow and transformations necessary to import and transform data necessary to run journeys Create automations for file/data import, audience segmentation, and journey kick-offs leveraging automation activities including but not limited to: • SQL Queries • File Transfers • Import Files • Data Extracts • Verifications • Send Email • Send SMS • Develop SQL code necessary to import and transform data requiring use of Data Extensions and SFTP connectors • Create and leverage hand-written AMPscript in order to personalize emails and add dynamic content to said emails • Identify and define Journey entry sources and decision splits in any given journey • Data Extensions • Lists (or Audiences) • Salesforce Data • API • Events • Work independently and be a self-starter in order to ensure customer success. • Develop robust campaign documentation • Install confidence with customers through maturity, expertise, and impeccable communications, both written and verbal.
