Position: Salesforce CPQ SME Location: 100% Remote Duration: Long term Description: JOB SUMMARY CPQ SME/ARCHITECT- Salesforce is responsible for leading solution design and technical delivery of customer facing capabilities across the Salesforce platform with an emphasis on CPQ solutions. This role translates strategic business needs into scalable solutions, working collaboratively with stakeholders, developers, and technical leads to deliver impactful, sustainable architectures. CPQ SME/ARCHITECT drives architectural decisions across medium to large scale initiatives, designs system integrations, supports DevOps practices, helps mature development standards while also supporting hands-on development and configuration. The ideal candidate brings a combination of hands-on technical experience and cross-functional leadership to enable the successful deployment and evolution of the Salesforce platform. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead solution design for Sales, Service, and CPQ implementations • Collaborate with developers, admins, architects, and analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications • Deliver User stories through declarative and custom implementation • Define integration approaches and lead the implementation of API-based solutions • Ensure architectural alignment with data, security, and performance standards • Produce and review technical documentation, data models, and solution diagrams • Lead code reviews, design workshops, and release planning • Mentor junior team members and establish a culture of technical excellence • Support backlog refinement, user story decomposition, and acceptance criteria definition • Mentor developers and admins to promote skill development, architectural awareness, and platform ownership • Stay current with Salesforce roadmap releases and recommend platform innovations that drive business value JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements • Bachelor's or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred • 6-8 years of hands-on experience designing and developing Salesforce solutions • Demonstrated success leading the design and delivery of medium-scale Salesforce solutions • Expertise in Salesforce platform, CPQ, and Pricing Optimization & Management (PO&M). • Fluency with Apex, LWC, Flow, Salesforce Administration, and architecture integration • Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and governance models • Experience designing data models, integrating external systems, and managing enterprise-level security and permission structures • Proven ability to align technology to business strategy and articulate tradeoffs to nontechnical audiences • Salesforce Administrator certification • Platform App Builder certification • Sales Cloud Consultant or Service Cloud Consultant certification Preferred • Application or System Architect Certification • Platform Developer I (PDI) • Experience with Logik.ai • Experience with Marketing Cloud Share resume to ranga@meritore.com
