Role Overview
GSK is delivering a strategic data transformation and modernisation programme focused on implementing SAP PLM Cloud as an IDMP-aligned formulation management tool. This initiative aims to standardise formulation data creation, improve data quality, strengthen governance, and ensure regulatory compliance across R&D. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the integration of Vaccines (Vx) into SAP PLM Cloud, while contributing to enhancements within Small Molecule and Large Molecule business-as-usual (BAU) operations. The role involves bridging business needs and technical solutions by analysing processes, defining requirements, and enabling adoption of IDMP-compliant data standards.
Key Responsibiltites
• Gather, analyse, and validate business and system requirements for SAP PLM Cloud implementation.
• Develop and document “as-is” and “to-be” business process maps.
• Support the integration of Vaccines (Vx) data and processes into SAP PLM Cloud.
• Conduct detailed business analysis aligned to IDMP data standards.
• Ensure alignment between business needs, system design, and data requirements.
• Facilitate workshops with business and IT stakeholders to capture requirements and drive alignment.
• Define and document KPI logic, metrics, and reporting requirements.
• Create mock-ups, prototypes, and support system demonstrations.
• Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of SAP PLM Cloud solutions.
• Develop and define data standards, including:
- Field definitions
- Naming convention
- Data standardisation rules
- Data transformation logic for IDMP data products
• Support data quality initiatives, including enrichment and validation processes.
• Provide ongoing support for system improvements and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, IT, and data governance.
• Support knowledge transfer activities, documentation, and user enablement.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and IDMP compliance standards.
Minimim Requirements:
• Strong business analysis experience within pharmaceutical or life sciences environments.
• Experience working with SAP PLM Cloud or similar enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of IDMP standards and their application in regulated environments.
• Understanding of data modelling, governance, and data standardisation practices.
• Experience in process mapping (as-is/to-be) and requirements documentation.
• Familiarity with KPI definition, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics.
• Proven experience in business analysis roles within digital transformation programmes.
• Experience supporting data transformation, system implementation, or migration projects.
• Experience working across Small Molecule, Large Molecule, or Vaccines domains (preferred).
• Exposure to regulated pharmaceutical R&D environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or similar.
• Experience with data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance standards.
• Exposure to SAP ecosystems and cloud-based solutions.
Soft Skills:
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
