Role description
OverviewThis role is crucial for ensuring the operational stability of all existing IT infrastructure and data reporting tools while the core IT team is fully engaged in the SAP FICO, SD, and MM implementation. The primary focus is providing excellent first-line technical support and ensuring the continuous, reliable flow of data for existing business intelligence (Tableau) reporting.
Key Responsibilities
First-Line IT System Support:
Serve as the initial point of contact for all user technical issues (e.g., hardware, software, network access, printer problems).
Provide quick resolution or effective escalation of incidents to maintain user productivity.
Manage and maintain local user accounts, passwords, and access permissions in current systems (non-SAP).
Data Preparation & Reporting:
Execute and monitor existing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) routines to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
Verify and cleanse data in source systems prior to reporting, focusing on integrity and consistency.
Support the generation and distribution of daily/weekly reports utilizing the existing Tableau platform.
Address routine user queries related to the data displayed in Tableau dashboards.
Hardware & Software Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on desktop PCs, laptops, and peripheral equipment.
Assist with basic setup and configuration of new or replacement equipment.
Track and manage IT asset inventory.
Process Documentation:
Document common support issues and their resolutions (Knowledge Base).
Maintain clear documentation of existing data flow processes and reporting schedules.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in a technical support or help desk environment.
Basic understanding of data concepts (e.g., data querying, data validation) and experience with a reporting tool (ideally Tableau or similar BI tool).
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for IT hardware and software issues.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
A proactive approach to monitoring systems and ensuring data integrity.
