Summary As a Senior Data Engineer (Onshore β HCM Domain), you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines that enable advanced analytics, reporting, and integration across HR and Human Capital Management systems. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, governance, and availability for critical workforce, payroll, and talent insights. The role requires strong expertise in data architecture, HCM data models, and integration with enterprise HCM platforms such as Oracle Fusion HCM. JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows for HR and HCM data ingestion, transformation, and reporting. Integrate data from multiple HCM and HR systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion HCM, Workday, SuccessFactors, Payroll, Time & Attendance). Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to translate business and compliance requirements into scalable data solutions. Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and analytical structures optimized for workforce analytics and dashboards. Partner with reporting and analytics teams to deliver curated data sets and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Implement robust data validation, audit, and reconciliation processes to ensure data quality across HCM systems. Support HR analytics, workforce planning, and compliance reporting by building reusable and secure data assets. Design and maintain data integrations with enterprise platforms (ERP, Finance, and HCM) using APIs, REST, SOAP, and data connectors. Optimize performance and cost for data processing in cloud environments (OCI, AWS, or Azure). Implement data security, privacy, and governance controls aligned with HIPAA, GDPR, and other data protection standards. Drive automation, continuous integration/deployment, and best practices in data engineering. Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional data initiatives related to HCM. Perform other related duties as assigned. JOB SCOPE This role operates independently with minimal supervision, providing data engineering leadership for HCM-related initiatives. The incumbent applies deep technical knowledge of HR systems and data models to deliver reliable, compliant, and performant data solutions across the enterprise. JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training) 8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering or analytics, with at least 3+ years supporting HR/HCM systems. Strong experience with SQL, Python, and data processing frameworks (Spark, PySpark, SQL-based ETL). Hands-on experience with building pipelines using ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, Airflow, dbt) and cloud-native data services (OCI Data Integration, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory). Familiarity with Oracle Fusion HCM data model, HDL/HCM Extracts, and OTBI subject areas is strongly preferred. Experience with HR analytics and BI platforms (Oracle Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake). Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and data quality frameworks. Experience with enterprise architecture with API-based integrations and automation in cloud environments. Knowledge of HR regulatory data standards (HIPAA, GDPR) and experience working in secure data environments. Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. Prior experience in consulting or supporting large-scale HCM implementations is preferred.
Bachelorβs or masterβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
