Our client is leading the technical upgrade of their critical Financial and Procurement systems for a major branch of the Department of Defense (DoD), transitioning from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. The project focuses on a fit-to-standard approach, minimizing customizations and aligning with S/4HANAβs standard configuration. Key efforts include defining requirements for the upgrade and supporting business process re-engineering.
Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Hire-to-Retire (H2R) Consultant to support requirements gathering, business process standardization, and system configuration aligned to the S/4HANA HCM suite. This role will focus on improving the end-to-end H2R lifecycle including organizational management, personnel administration, time and leave, and benefits integration. Responsibilities include:
β’ Leading functional workshops to document current-state HR processes and design future-state workflows that align with S/4HANA capabilities. Bi-weekly travel to Rosslyn, VA for 4β6 weeks may be required.
β’ Conducting fit-gap analyses to identify transformation opportunities and minimize system customizations.
β’ Supporting the design and configuration of SAP HCM modules, including Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Time Management, and Benefits.
β’ Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with related areas such as Payroll, Finance, and Security.
β’ Creating functional specifications, configuration documentation, and test scripts to support system design and testing.
β’ Assisting in the development of training content, end-user communications, and organizational change management (OCM) activities.
β’ Participating in Agile SAFe ceremonies and leveraging tools such as JIRA and Confluence to support iterative delivery.
β’ Requirements:5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP HCM modules including PA, OM, Time Management, and Benefits.
β’ Hands on experience with S/4HANA HCM solution design and configuration.
β’ Strong understanding of the full Hire-to-Retire lifecycle and HR process standardization best practices.
β’ Experience supporting business process transformation efforts within federal or government-regulated environments.
β’ Familiarity with Agile frameworks and project delivery using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
β’ Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
β’ Interim or Active Secret Clearance Required. (Clearance sponsorship for US citizens with relevant experience may be available on a case-by-case basis.)
