Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled SAS Administrator and Architect with a strong finance background to oversee the effective operation of our SAS Analytics Environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAS Office Analytics, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Data Integration Studio, and SAS Cost and Profitability Management. This role involves managing SAS installations, upgrades, user access, and production support while collaborating with development teams to optimize analytics processes.
Key Responsibilities
β’ SAS Environment Management: Ensure the smooth operation of the SAS Analytics Environment, providing best practices for analytics processes, programs, and models.
β’ User Access Control: Manage user permissions via SAS Management Console, ensuring appropriate access levels for reports and data.
β’ Development Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to maintain and enhance existing SAS programs.
β’ Installation & Upgrades: Oversee SAS product installations, upgrades, patches, and configurations in a UNIX environment.
β’ System Optimization: Research and recommend hardware and software improvements for SAS environments.
β’ Production Support: Investigate, escalate, and resolve SAS production support incidents following established protocols.
β’ Disaster Recovery: Maintain and execute disaster recovery procedures as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ Expertise in SAS with strong proficiency in SAS Management Console and access control.
β’ Advanced SQL skills (Oracle, MySQL, Teradata) with deep knowledge of relational database design and data warehouse best practices.
β’ SAS Analytics Expertise: Strong background in statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modeling, and data mining.
β’ Finance Domain Exposure: Understanding of financial data structures and analytics.
β’ System & Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with networking, storage, and UNIX-based SAS installations.
β’ Disaster Recovery & Production Support: Experience managing SAS environments that serve multiple business units.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience supporting high-memory SAS environments in enterprise-wide settings.
β’ Strong understanding of SAS output channels and system configurations.
β’ Ability to optimize SAS environments for performance and scalability.
