Role description
Position: SAS Programming Analyst
Location: Fully Remote, CST working hours
Duration: 12 month contract, potential for extension or FTE conversion
Pay Range: $55-60/hr
Requirements
-5+years of experience as a Developer or programmer using SAS, SAS/Macros.
-5+ years of data analysis experience
-Ability to work with large volumes of data, disparate relational database and familiarity with various database technologies.
-5+ years of experience with developing/writing SQL queries.
-Ability to understand and support modern large-scale data pipelines to support data integration for reporting & analytics and machine learning features.
Plusses
-Advance SAS programming certification preferred.
-Experience in developing applications using Python and PySpark preferred.
-ETL/ELT experience with Apache Spark, Databricks and Snowflake SQL preferred.
-Big Data - Hadoop/Hive and Hadoop/Spark experience preferred.
-Health Care experience preferred.
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a SAS Data Programmer for one of our largest healthcare clients. This individual will be responsible for maintaining existing applications and will work on developing new applications supported by FDM on FIN360 platforms for various Finance & Accounting business teams including E&I, C&S, M&R, A&C, and Regulatory. The role includes development/coding, production support, analyzing data and addressing user issues. The primary skills on the team are SAS, Python, SQL skills for relational databases including Snowflake, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server etc.
Responsibilities:
-Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of data analytics programs and processes for supporting various operational data stores using SAS, and Relational Databases.
-Collect, interpret, and aggregate data from traditional and non-traditional data sources for supporting programs and applications utilizing various data analytics purposes.
-Understand data requirements and business need to develop data tools such as dashboards and data visualizations using SAS and PowerBI.
-Use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis and interpret data.
-Solves moderately complex problems and has ability to translate concepts into practice.
-Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
-Recognize problems and make recommendations for solutions.
-Interact with business users and analyze and address/resolve issues brought up by them which might include code, and data analysis.
-Works under minimal guidance and within tight deadlines for deliverables.
