SAS/SQL Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC / Plano TX (hybrid)

Payrate: $60 - $65/hr on W2
Role Overview
We are seeking a SAS/SQL Developer to analyze, design, develop, enhance, and support applications that integrate with existing business components. This role involves developing solutions for new project requirements and supporting existing ones by coordinating with business teams to understand needs and analyze the impact of change requests. The position requires a candidate who can learn business processes and apply that knowledge to assigned tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze, design, develop, and enhance applications using established processes and technologies.
• Support new and existing project requirements, including coordination with business stakeholders.
• Perform comprehensive analysis of application and process issues, including problem identification and coordination with support teams.
• Communicate work progress to management, identifying and resolving issues to minimize project impact.
• Gather and interpret data requirements, perform research and analysis, and contribute to business design and data mapping.
• Develop data sourcing and transaction monitoring solutions.
• Guide technology team members, both onsite and offshore.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of software development experience is required. Candidates must have a proven track record in project delivery within an Agile environment. Experience as a business analyst will also be considered.
Technical Skills:
• Strong experience in complex SQL queries and PL/SQL programming.
• Proficiency in software development using SAS, Teradata, and Unix scripting.
• Strong skills in software design, building, testing, and documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Python, Spark, and Hadoop is an advantage.
• Knowledge of banking products, operational processes, and end-to-end transaction flows.
• Familiarity with the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) domain is beneficial.
