Role: SC Cleared Data Engineer (Data Migration)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6 months (likely to extend – possibility to go permanent)
Work Location: Hybrid – Bristol office 2 days per week
Clearance: SC Clearance required
Interview Process: MS Teams, 1 stage
Looking for an SC Cleared Data Engineer to support a hands-on data migration programme within a secure environment. The role will focus on migrating and transforming data into modern cloud platforms, working closely with technical teams to ensure data quality and integrity.
This is a delivery-focused role suited to someone comfortable working directly with complex datasets and cloud-based data platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver hands-on data migration activities
• Build, optimise, and validate SQL-based data transformations
• Support migration of data into Azure-based platforms
• Work across Azure services with some AWS exposure
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance throughout migration
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to support migration outcomes
Key Skills:
• Active SC Clearance
• Strong commercial Data Engineering experience
• Advanced SQL
• Proven experience delivering data migration projects
• Azure-focused background with some AWS exposure
Bonus Skills:
• Azure Data Factory
• Databricks
• Snowflake
