Role description
Role Overview: We are seeking a Scientific Business Analyst to support a leading biopharmaceutical organization. This role involves partnering with scientific and IT teams to translate research needs into practical technological solutions, improving lab workflows, and enhancing data quality. Responsibilities: • Gather and analyze business requirements from scientific teams, translating them into actionable specifications for technical development. • Map existing laboratory workflows and design improved processes to address key operational challenges. • Work closely with research scientists, IT staff, and project managers to define system functionality and ensure alignment with business objectives. • Manage and prioritize requests from stakeholders, maintaining a clear and actionable backlog. • Investigate and resolve data integrity issues, collaborating with IT and business teams to implement effective solutions. • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, usability, and data management in laboratory systems. Required Skills & Experience: • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in life sciences, with knowledge of IT or computer science concepts. • 5–8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or research settings. • Hands-on experience with LIMS, ELN, or cloud-based platforms such as AWS. • Knowledge of bioanalytical processes including assay development, bioanalysis, quality control, and scientific documentation. • Familiarity with regulatory standards and reporting requirements (e.g., ICH, DIA CTD). • Ability to perform business process analysis, requirements gathering, and workflow optimization. • Experience with laboratory software such as Benchling or Dotmatics is a plus. • Strong problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills.
