Role Description
• The Developer builds and supports point-of-sale (POS) terminal enhancements using scripting and application development across Python and Java to deliver reliable store-facing functionality.
• This role collaborates with technical leads, QA, and operations to implement requirements, integrate with peripherals/services, and help troubleshoot issues through release and production support.
Required Skills
• Hands-on experience developing scripts and applications for POS terminals, including debugging device-specific issues and validating behavior on terminal hardware.
• Proficiency in Python and Java, with experience writing maintainable code, utilities, and basic automation to support development and deployments.
• Experience integrating with APIs/services and handling operational scenarios such as intermittent connectivity, retries, and robust error handling.
• Strong collaboration skills, including working in agile teams, participating in code reviews, and using Git-based workflows.
