Job Title: Security Business Intelligence Analyst
Duration: 6 to 12 Months (Contract)
Location: Hybrid 2 days a week β Oakland, California
Rate : $60 to $65 hr on W2
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Security Business Intelligence Analyst to support our cybersecurity and data analytics initiatives. This role will help bridge the gap between security operations and data intelligence by analyzing data trends, identifying risks, and delivering actionable insights to drive informed decisions.
Conducts analysis on variances, forecasts and risk reduction trends. Monitors and reports on operational, productivity and efficiency metrics and scorecards. Works closely with our enterprise risk team and collaborates with them on how to quantify and present risk reduction. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining risk reduction playbook, forms, standards, procedures and other program documents, preparing reports, developing and maintaining performance metrics, and conducting self-assessments. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your security and analytical skills working in a cross-functional, fast-paced and highly visible environment.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Collect, analyze, and interpret security-related data from various sources to support threat analysis and risk assessments.
β’ Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable intelligence to security leadership and stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to monitor, detect, and assess potential threats or vulnerabilities.
β’ Create and maintain automated data models and pipelines for continuous reporting and insights.
β’ Assist in the development and improvement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for security operations.
β’ Support incident response and investigation efforts with relevant data analysis.
β’ Ensure data integrity and alignment with internal security policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
β’ Experience in business intelligence or data analysis roles, preferably with a focus on security or IT.
β’ Strong knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and data querying languages (e.g., SQL).
β’ Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, SIEM tools, and incident management concepts.
β’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
β’ Experience working in a hybrid or cross-functional environment
