Role description
Duration: 9+ Months Location: PA-Malvern, Hybrid 3-4 days onsite Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Semantic Data Modeler, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges. Responsibilities โ€ข Design, develop, and maintain semantic data models, including taxonomies, ontologies, and enterprise knowledge graphs โ€ข Implement and apply semanticโ€‘web standards and frameworks โ€ข Build, enhance, and manage knowledge graph platforms (e.g., Neo4j, GraphDB, Stardog) to support enterprise search, analytics, and AI use cases โ€ข Develop and maintain controlled vocabularies, metadata models, and domain ontologies โ€ข Perform data integration and mapping across diverse systems using ETL frameworks, semantic mapping tools, and data transformation techniques โ€ข Establish and enforce data governance, version control, and quality standards to ensure semantic assets are accurate, consistent, and scalable โ€ข Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to align semantic models with organizational data strategies and use cases Qualifications โ€ข 7+ years of experience designing and implementing semantic data models, including taxonomies, ontologies, and knowledge graphs โ€ข Knowledge of: RDF/OWL, SKOS, SPARQL, and other semanticโ€‘web standards and modeling frameworks โ€ข Handsโ€‘on experience building and maintaining enterprise knowledge graphs using tools such as Neo4j, GraphDB, Stardog, or similar platforms โ€ข Proven ability to develop controlled vocabularies, metadata models, and domain ontologies โ€ข Skilled in data integration and mapping, using ETL frameworks or semantic mapping tools โ€ข Strong understanding of governance, versioning, and data quality principles to ensure consistency and longโ€‘term maintainability of semantic assets The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $160,000 or the hourly equivalent.
