Summary:
The Senior AI & Cybersecurity Data Engineer is a senior, handsβon technical role responsible for developing, deploying, and operationalizing AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics solutions that enhance the organizationβs cybersecurity defense capabilities. This position combines deep expertise in AI engineering, data science, and secure data platforms to drive automation, threat detection, predictive analytics, and cyber risk insights.
The engineer will work closely with cybersecurity operations, cloud engineering, IT, and data platform teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and productionβready, while acting as a senior technical contributor and mentor within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, build, and deploy machine learning and advanced analytics solutions for cybersecurity use cases such as threat detection, anomaly detection, and predictive risk analysis.
β’ Develop AI driven capabilities, including automation and generative AI solutions, to support security investigation, triage, and reporting.
β’ Analyze and model large volumes of security data from enterprise, cloud, identity, and endpoint platforms.
β’ Support cybersecurity metrics, dashboards, and insights used by operational teams and leadership.
β’ Apply secure engineering and data handling practices to ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
β’ Partner with cross functional teams across cybersecurity, IT, data, and cloud platforms to integrate AI and analytics solutions.
β’ Act as a senior technical contributor and mentor, supporting best practices in data science, AI, and security engineering.
Required Qualifications:
β’ Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
β’ Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, data science, analytics, machine learning, or related technical fields.
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and common data science or ML frameworks.
β’ Experience working with security telemetry and platforms such as SIEM, EDR, cloud, or identity systems.
β’ Demonstrated experience deploying analytics or ML solutions into production environments.
β’ Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and defensive technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with generative AI or advanced automation in security or operational environments.
β’ Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
β’ Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks including NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, or Zero Trust.
β’ Relevant security, cloud, or AI/ML certifications.
β’ Financial Services Preferred
