We're looking for someone who can take a loosely defined problem, design a solution, and build scalable AI/data capabilities using modern tools. This role focuses on building reusable components and platform capabilities that can be used across teams-not one-off solutions. What You'll Do ~30-40%: Call Analytics Analyze call center audio Score and evaluate agent performance ~60-70%: Platform & Build Work Build reusable AI/data components Automate data workflows (moving toward unsupervised systems) Develop solutions that can scale across teams Work Across: Data platform teams AI/ML teams Business stakeholders How This Role Operates You'll be given an end goal, not step-by-step instructions Expected to design solutions and approaches independently Work is done using tools and AI-assisted development, not heavy manual coding Environment is greenfield and evolving (mix of POCs and production work) Required Experience 10+ years in data, backend, or platform engineering Strong Python (PySpark preferred) Experience working with data pipelines and AI-related use cases Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure) Experience with data orchestration tools Ability to design end-to-end solutions, not just execute tasks Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in unstructured, evolving environments Preferred (Not Required) Experience building reusable/platform-based solutions Exposure to Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Experience In Financial Services Or Other Regulated Environments Exposure to AI/ML concepts or applications What Success Looks Like You can take a vague problem and define a clear solution approach You propose multiple approaches and tradeoffs You build solutions that are reused across teams You work independently with minimal direction location: Mount Laurel Township, New Jersey job type: Contract salary: $70 - 75 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Masters Responsibilities: qualifications: Experience In Financial Services Or Other Regulated Environments Exposure to AI/ML concepts or applications Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
