Senior AI Data Strategist (1099 Contract)

We are seeking a Senior AI Data Strategist to lead enterprise AI adoption—from strategy through production across mission-critical operations. This role is designed for a builder-operator who can align executive vision with hands-on delivery and drive real-world AI outcomes at scale. Why This Role • Own end-to-end AI strategy and execution across an enterprise environment • Deploy AI into real operational systems (not just experimentation) • Influence executive decision-making and enterprise roadmaps • Operate at the intersection of AI, data platforms, and business transformation Key Responsibilities • Lead and operationalize enterprise AI strategy across multiple business domains • Design, build, and deploy LLM and multimodal AI solutions in production • Architect and scale AI/data platforms across AWS, GCP, and Azure • Translate complex business problems into AI-driven products and capabilities • Partner with executive stakeholders to drive AI adoption and value realization • Establish and mature AI governance, risk, and responsible AI frameworks • Drive delivery from concept → prototype → production → scale Required Experience • 10+ years in data strategy, advanced analytics, or machine learning, with recent experience delivering AI/GenAI solutions in production • Proven track record of leading enterprise AI or data product initiatives • Hands-on experience with LLMs, GenAI, and modern AI ecosystems (OpenAI, Vertex AI, Claude, etc.) • Strong technical foundation in Python, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, GCP, Azure) • Experience operating within regulated or complex enterprise environments • Ability to engage and influence executive and cross-functional stakeholders Preferred Background • Experience building AI-enabled products or platforms end-to-end • Background in enterprise data architecture and governance • Experience driving digital or AI transformation initiatives at scale • Consulting or enterprise transformation experience Important Notes • 1099 Contract Role • $120–$150/hr • Hybrid – Downtown Houston, TX • S.
