The things you care about At the heart of our platform we track performance marketing data and build a number of solutions to turn this data into useful information for our customers. We work with a lot of data, generating over a billion events across our infrastructure daily. We aim to make as much of this data available in real-time as possible, which is no mean feat at this scale! Our platform is powered by our REST APIs and everything is developed with an API-first approach. The primary technologies we use are Python, PHP, JavaScript (React), and Kafka. Data is stored in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Druid and Redis. We are constantly evolving our platform and tools to take advantage of the ever-changing tech landscape. We deploy to production several times a day. What you'll do In this role, you'll divide your time between two key areas: • 50% AI agentic framework development - working with a dedicated team to design and extend internal AI tools that streamline operations and build new internal capabilities. • 50% Partnerize platform development - contributing to the wider Partnerize product ecosystem, ensuring scalability and reliability for our customers. Day-to-day, you will: • Build and maintain our agentic AI framework with input from stakeholders across the business. • Contribute to the design and delivery of high-scale services that are resilient, fault-tolerant, and easy to maintain. • Write clean, well-tested code with an eye on scalability and long-term maintainability. • Collaborate with architects and engineers across different teams, balancing autonomy with teamwork. What you bring You are a software engineer with strong Python skills and experience applying AI in real-world systems. Specifically, you have: • Hands-on experience building applications with LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI). • Knowledge of AI development frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or ADK. • Experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines with vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Chroma). • Strong understanding of Python engineering, including Asyncio, FastAPI, and scalable distributed systems. • Experience working with event streaming and data processing at scale (Kafka, similar). • Solid grasp of computing fundamentals such as object-oriented programming, data structures, and system design. • Practical experience with Agile delivery and modern engineering practices (clean code, TDD, CI/CD). Nice to have We don't expect you to have everything, but it would be great if you also bring: • Experience with financial data processing. • Familiarity with PHP systems and an interest in modernising legacy code. • Operational awareness of Linux-based environments.
