Role description
About the Role We’re seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a cutting-edge AI/ML innovation team focused on High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Generative AI (GenAI). This role is part of a multi-year program driving scalable AI solutions for scientific computing challenges such as seismic imaging and advanced R&D workflows. You’ll work on production-grade AI/ML models, multimodal LLMs, and full-stack data science applications—leveraging infrastructure that scales from on-prem HPC clusters to cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities • Design and deploy advanced AI/ML models (Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Multimodal LLMs). • Convert R&D prototypes into scalable, production-ready solutions • Build full-stack data science applications for enterprise-scale deployment • Collaborate with research and engineering teams to deliver impactful GenAI tools • Ensure software quality through rigorous standards (code reviews, audits) • Contribute to internal communities of excellence and evaluate new AI opportunities. Qualifications Required • Ph.D. (preferred) or Master’s in STEM • Expertise in Machine Learning, Statistical Modeling, and EDA • Deep knowledge of Deep Learning & Reinforcement Learning • Proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow • Strong programming skills (Python). • Familiarity with AI Engineering, DevOps, Agile. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
