Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accessibility Analyst with strong project management skills to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of our organization's accessibility initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing digital accessibility programs in large-scale enterprise environments and be deeply familiar with global accessibility standards and regulations.
This is a contract-to-hire roleβideal for professionals with a history of long-term engagements (2+ years per employer) who are ready to take ownership of accessibility compliance and inclusive user experiences across our digital products.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Framework Development & Governance
β’ Build and manage a comprehensive digital accessibility framework aligned with WCAG 2.1+, ADA, and Section 508.
β’ Establish governance models to ensure consistent implementation of accessibility best practices.
β’ Cross-Functional Project Leadership
β’ Lead and coordinate accessibility initiatives with design, engineering, QA, and content teams.
β’ Manage full accessibility project lifecycles from audit through remediation and deployment.
β’ Compliance & Auditing
β’ Conduct detailed accessibility audits, assessments, and gap analyses for web and mobile applications.
β’ Provide clear documentation and guidance on remediation strategies and standards adherence.
β’ Enablement & Training
β’ Develop and deliver training programs and support materials to embed accessibility into the product development lifecycle.
β’ Act as a go-to subject matter expert for stakeholders across the organization.
β’ Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
β’ Track compliance metrics and report progress regularly to internal stakeholders.
β’ Stay ahead of emerging accessibility regulations, standards, and technologies.
β’ Vendor Engagement
β’ Collaborate with or manage relationships with third-party accessibility testing firms or consultants as needed.
Must-Have Qualifications
β’ Expertise in Accessibility Standards:
β’ Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.1+, ADA, Section 508, and international equivalents.
β’ Project Management Skills:
β’ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and deliver projects within scope and budget.
β’ Audit & Tooling Experience:
β’ Hands-on experience using tools like Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, etc., and understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript from an accessibility standpoint.
β’ Training & Stakeholder Collaboration:
β’ Skilled in training and enabling teams across UX, development, content, and QA.
β’ Long-Term Engagements:
β’ Strong preference for candidates with a stable work history (2+ years per role).
