Senior Pricing & Analytics Analyst – Automotive Protection (12-Month FTC) Location: London, United Kingdom (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months) Salary: Competitive Overview Our client, a leading international insurer, is seeking a Senior Analyst – Automotive Protection to join its Pricing and Analytics team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This role sits within a fast-growing Automotive Protection division, supporting GAP and Warranty products through advanced pricing, analytics, and performance forecasting. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping pricing strategy, improving portfolio performance, and delivering high-quality business insight to senior stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded data professional looking to apply advanced analytics and pricing expertise within a dynamic insurance environment. Responsibilities • Develop pricing models and performance reporting for the Automotive Protection portfolio. • Partner with underwriters to forecast performance and support pricing strategy decisions. • Analyse claims data and apply forecasting techniques to project future trends. • Monitor and validate internationally sourced data to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity. • Analyse digital quote conversion performance to optimise trading outcomes. • Design and enhance reporting tools (including Power BI dashboards) to support business insight. • Support development of commercial propositions through research, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration. • Develop and implement analytical models to support fraud detection, portfolio growth, and performance improvement. • Ensure strong data governance and integrity across systems, supporting compliance and risk management. • Identify and deliver key analytical initiatives in collaboration with the Analytics Manager. • Present data-driven insights clearly to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Requirements • Strong experience in pricing analysis within insurance or financial services. • Advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities, with the ability to translate data into actionable insight. • Experience in data modelling and programming (R, Python, SAS, Scala or similar). • Working knowledge of machine learning techniques and broader data science methodologies. • Experience applying statistical models to support underwriting and pricing decisions. • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to translate complex analysis into clear business recommendations. • Proven ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • High attention to detail and strong organisational capability. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
