Senior Analytics Engineer (P&C Insurance)

Title: Senior Analytics Engineer (P&C Insurance) Location: Remote US Citizens only PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING This position requires proven, hands-on experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, specifically working with Policy, Claims, Billing, or Finance data. Candidates without direct experience in a P&C insurance environment will not be considered. The Role Rockwoods is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer who has built reporting layers and analytics datasets inside a P&C insurance company someone who understands Policy lifecycle, Claims processing, Billing cycles, and Finance reporting from the inside, not just the data side. You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and data, translating insurance domain knowledge into models, dashboards, and validated datasets that drive decisions. What You Will Do • Design and build analytics datasets and reporting layers for P&C insurance lines of business • Develop interactive dashboards in Tableau and/or Power BI for Policy, Claims, Billing, and Finance teams • Perform data mapping, validation, and testing across source systems • Translate business requirements from insurance stakeholders into data models and actionable insights • Work cross-functionally with underwriting, claims, finance, and operations teams What You Must Bring ✅ 6–10+ years in analytics or data engineering roles ✅ Direct P&C insurance domain experience - Policy, Claims, Billing, or Finance (non-negotiable) ✅ Strong SQL and data modeling skills (dimensional modeling, star schema preferred) ✅ Hands-on Tableau and/or Power BI dashboard development ✅ Experience with data validation, testing, and reconciliation ✅ Ability to work independently and directly with business stakeholders Nice to Have • Experience with dbt, Snowflake, or cloud data platforms • Background in Qlik, SSIS, or other ETL tools • Familiarity with regulatory reporting in insurance environments Why Rockwoods • Deep, meaningful work in P&C insurance and financial services • Lean teams strong ownership, direct visibility to leadership • Your work ties directly to business outcomes, not ticket queues To Apply: Submit your resume.
