Title: Sr. Anaplan Consultant
Location: Seattle, WA (100% Remote)
Job description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Techno‑Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Anaplan. The ideal candidate will combine hands‑on technical Model building and testing skills with a deep understanding of enterprise business planning, data flows, integration touchpoints, and end‑to‑end validation across planning models and enterprise data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Anaplan Functional & Technical Validation
• Review business user requirements and user stories to create comprehensive test scenarios.
• Validate Anaplan modules, lists, hierarchies, actions, and processes.
• Test model‑to‑model, model‑to‑data hub, model-to-target system integrations (Anaplan Connect, APIs, Airflow, etc.).
• Perform regression, UAT, and performance testing on planning cycles and connected planning workflows.
• Lead end‑to‑end QA strategy for user stories.
• Maintain test plans, traceability matrices, test execution reports, and defect management.
• Work closely with product owners, planners, data engineers, and developers to ensure high‑quality releases.
• Drive quality reviews, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvements.
Preferred
• Test REST APIs, microservices, and integration layers connected to Anaplan or downstream systems.
• Conduct schema checks, data integrity validation, reconciliation, and lineage verification.
• Validate data ingestion, transformation, and processing across ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Databricks etc).
Required Skills & Competencies
Functional Skills
• Strong understanding of planning processes: FP&A / supply chain planning / workforce planning / sales planning, or related domains.
• Ability to translate business rules into test cases and validate model behavior.
Technical Skills (Mandatory)
• Anaplan: model structures, formulas, actions/processes, imports/exports, ALM, UX testing.
• QA: functional and technical testing, APIs, data ingestions, scheduled jobs etc
• Anaplan (Model Builder L3 and above)
Tools (preferred)
• Jira, AWS, ALM, GitHub, Sharepoint, Teams
• Snowflakes/Azure/AWS certification
• Python, PyTest, Postman, Selenium
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks
• Exposure to analytics platforms (Power BI/Tableau)
Education
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in commerce, Engineering, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, or related fields.
