We are seeking a Senior Applications Development Analyst on a contract basis to support our Customerβs business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote/week) in Princeton, NJ.
This role requires deep experience in building and maintaining applications using technologies such as .NET, Azure SQL, MongoDB, Service Bus, Blob Storage, AngularJS, Okta OAuth, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to high-quality, secure software development practices.
Responsibilities
Technical Design & Execution
β’ Collaborate with architects to refine high-level designs into actionable development plans
β’ Translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable steps for development teams
Coordination of Technical Stakeholders
β’ Act as a liaison between architecture, development, cloud, security, and platform teams
β’ Ensure alignment across teams, resolve conflicts, and manage interdependencies
Security and Compliance Oversight
β’ Apply secure development practices throughout the software lifecycle (S-SDLC)
β’ Collaborate with security teams to ensure secure coding and regulatory compliance
Technical Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
β’ Guide the team through resolving technical issues and obstacles
β’ Provide hands-on debugging, optimization, and component refinement when needed
Code Quality and Technical Standards
β’ Participate in code reviews to ensure architectural and technical standards are met
Collaboration with Architects
β’ Ensure implementation aligns with the architectural vision
β’ Provide practical feedback on technical feasibility and optimization
Risk Identification and Mitigation
β’ Identify technical risks, including scalability, security, and debt
β’ Develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with engineers and architects
Process Improvement and Innovation
β’ Identify and implement improvements to development tools, processes, and workflows
β’ Stay informed on industry trends and recommend innovative solutions
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
β’ Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, particularly .NET and web applications
β’ Strong knowledge of AngularJS and front-end frameworks
β’ Experience with Azure cloud services, SQL, and MongoDB
β’ Familiarity with service-based architectures and messaging systems
β’ Understanding of OAuth authentication, especially via Okta
β’ Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
β’ Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
β’ Experience with microservices and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
β’ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery
β’ Additional programming language experience is a plus
