Role description
Position Title: AWS Data Engineer Location: Reston, VAΒ (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Months (Possible extension) Job Description: β€’ This Software Engineer β€’ SeniorΒ Associate will be responsible for the development and delivery of data analytics for the FP&A’s Admin expense and Block Funding capabilities and the enterprise implementation of Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM). β€’ This role will focus on data engineering development for the DCFO application and all the integrations with the rest of the FP&A ecosystem – Anaplan, Workday, Workiva and IBM Apptio. Required Skills: β€’ Experience developing and operating enterprise cloud-native AWS data applications. β€’ Experience developing data engineering pipelines on AWS stack using Python. β€’ Deep technical knowledge of AWS services – EC2, ECS, EMR, Lambda, StepFunctions, S3, SNS/SQL, CloudWatch. β€’ Solid understanding of database technologies including Redshift and RDS with strong technical ability with complex SQL. β€’ Proficiency developing REST API integrations with SaaS applications. β€’ Strong experience with DevOps and CI/CD concepts and tools. β€’ Experience building E2E test automation with a focus on data validation. β€’ Demonstrated interest in adopting AI for software development via copilot, agents etc. towards increasing efficiency and reducing β€œtime-to-value”. β€’ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues. β€’ Excellent Communication Skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders. β€’ Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, fostering a collaborative culture. Preferred Certifications β€’ AWS Certifications – Solutions Architect, Developer, Data Engineer Pay Range: $75.00 - $80.00 The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
