Responsibilities
β’ Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines and infrastructure on AWS
β’ Lead and mentor a junior team member, fostering high-quality delivery and professional growth
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
β’ Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver actionable, data-driven insights
β’ Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data processes
β’ Optimise data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
β’ Use Jira for effective task and project management
Requirements
β’ Minimum of 3 yearsβ experience in a Data Engineering role
β’ Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on AWS cloud services (e.g., AWS Glue, S3, blob storage
β’ Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Scala is a plus
β’ Hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions
β’ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
β’ Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members effectively
β’ Experience using Jira for task and project tracking
β’ Experience with Informatica for data integration and ETL processes
β’ Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and best practices
β’ Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
