Senior AWS Developer (10–15 years’ experience) to support the Data Modernization initiatives for ITD and the Division of Public Health. The role will focus on modernizing legacy systems, building and maintaining enterprise-level AWS Data Lakes, and implementing scalable cloud-based data solutions. Required / Desired Skills Skill Required / Desired Years of Experience Proficient in AWS services for building enterprise-level Data Lakes Required 7+ Years Application modernization (refactoring, migration, cloud-native) Required 7+ Years Data ingestion & storage (S3, Kinesis Data Streams, Kinesis Data Firehose, DMS) Required 7+ Years Data processing & transformation (Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena, Flink, Step Functions, SageMaker) Required 7+ Years DevOps practices, CI/CD & automation Required 7+ Years Software development with hands-on coding in Python or other OOP languages (Java/.NET) Required 10+ Years Communication & collaboration with cross-functional / stakeholder teams Required 10+ Years Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments Required 7+ Years Data analytics / BI experience (Power BI or AWS QuickSight) Highly Desired 3+ Years AWS Certification Highly Desired — Previous State Government experience Highly Desired — Responsibilities • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine modernization requirements. • Design and implement secure, scalable AWS-based data solutions. • Lead data transformation and legacy system migration efforts. • Provide guidance and best practices to project teams. • Troubleshoot, resolve technical challenges, and ensure compliance. • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
