Summary
We are seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure team in a hybrid capacity (Addison, TX). This role requires a senior-level strategist and hands-on builder with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), DevOps automation, and infrastructure modernization. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of AWS-focused experience designing, building, and managing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud environments, while mentoring teams and driving enterprise transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Migration
• Design and deploy cloud infrastructures using Terraform, Terragrunt, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation.
• Lead enterprise cloud migrations and hybrid/multi-cloud integration strategies.
DevOps Automation
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, and Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and remediation with Ansible, AWS CLI, and self-healing scripts.
Kubernetes & Microservices
• Architect and manage Amazon EKS/ECS clusters for enterprise-grade containerized workloads.
• Implement best practices for microservices deployment, networking, and scaling.
Observability & Security
• Implement full-stack observability with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and Dynatrace APM.
• Build and enforce DevSecOps pipelines with integrated security tools (SonarQube, Veracode, AWS Inspector, GuardDuty, Security Hub).
Qualifications
• 8+ years of AWS-focused experience as a Senior DevOps or Cloud Engineer.
• Proven expertise in core AWS services including VPC, Transit Gateway, EKS, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Route 53, SQS, and SNS.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD automation, and observability frameworks.
• Strong background in enterprise cloud migrations, multi-cloud strategies, and hybrid architectures.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Terragrunt, AWS CDK, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience modernizing databases (Postgres, Oracle, Redshift, Aurora) into cloud-native solutions.
• Solid knowledge of governance, compliance, and cloud cost optimization.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams and executive stakeholders.
