Senior Azure Cloud Engineer: On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer for a contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Houston office. Senior Azure Cloud Engineer - Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to lead Azure infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization, with an emphasis on integrating acquired IT environments during mergers and acquisitions. The project involves managing and optimizing Azure as the primary cloud platform, ensuring seamless integration and operation at scale. Senior Azure Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities: Manage Azure IaaS infrastructure Design and implement Azure Landing Zones Standardize identity, networking, and security using RBAC, NSGs, tagging, and subscription management Lead cloud migrations and M&A integrations Evaluate acquired systems—users, applications, servers, networks Implement security best practices: RBAC, encryption, private endpoints, compliance Collaborate across infrastructure, application, and network teams Senior Azure Cloud Engineer - Mandatory Skills: 10+ years in IT, 7+ in cloud/infrastructure 5+ years Azure hands-on (including AD, SQL, Policy, DR) Proven M&A infrastructure integration experience Strong understanding of Azure Networking, Identity, Governance PowerShell scripting and documentation skills Expert in VNets, NSGs, VPNs, routing Experience with Azure Route Server (ARS) Senior Azure Cloud Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with OAuth, app registrations, SSO Familiar with hybrid networking and segmentation Understands least-privilege and cloud-native security controls Hands-on with Azure Monitor or other tools Experience with compliance and logging standards Senior Azure Cloud Engineer – Assignment Length: This is a contract position with the potential to go full-time once the contract ends.
