Role description
BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Program Manager III (Billing Coordinator) for an opportunity Remote Need someone who is authorized to work independently without any sponsorship. Position Title: Program Manager III (Billing Coordinator) Location: Remote Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Please note this is the target date and it is subject to change. Expected Duration: 8+ months Job Type: Full Time (>=40 HRS WEEKLY) – Contract- Remote Pay Range: $65/hr Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Title: Program Manager III (Billing Coordinator) Location: Remote Duration: 8+ Months Need someone who is authorized to work independently without any sponsorship. Summary: The Energy Billing Specialist’s responsibility is to support internal financial reporting of Energy OpEx, focusing on invoice reconciliation and accurate billing data management. Key Responsibilities: ● Financial Reconciliation & Accruals: β—‹ Execute and support monthly and quarterly close processes, identifying proactive solutions for process optimization. β—‹ Manage monthly energy accruals by reconciling cost estimates, General Ledger (GL) entries, and internal invoice trackers in collaboration with finance, accounting, and Energy Analytics. β—‹ Apply a strong understanding of accrual accounting and reconciliation processes. ● Cross-Functional & Relationship Management: β—‹ Act as the primary cross-functional liaison, managing relationships across Accounting, Treasury, and COE. β—‹ Serve as the main Point of Contact (POC) for investigating and identifying root causes of financial data mismatches between the system of financial record and Energy’s invoice database. β—‹ Provide payment issue resolution by triaging and resolving instances of non-payment or incorrect payment processing. ● Process Improvement & Documentation: β—‹ Identify opportunities for efficiencies and develop insights into the cash posting process. β—‹ Map payment processes, covering invoice receipt, payment, and treasury/cash management. β—‹ Document and improve upon existing processes, with a focus on automation and scale. β—‹ Manage and establish billing processes for Meta’s expanding portfolio of leased data centers. Required Qualifications & Skills: ● At least 5 years of experience in finance and accounting systems, including experience aligning cross-functional (XFN) partners. ● Analytical mindset with demonstrated experience working with large datasets. ● Excellent cross-functional communication and relationship management skills. ● Proficiency in Excel, with bonus skills in VBA, SQL, and Python. Minimum Years of Experience 5+ Must-Have Skills 1. Finance & Accounting Systems Experience (5+ years, including accruals, reconciliations, GL management) 1. Proficiency in Excel (Essential; bonus for VBA, SQL, Python) 1. Analytical Mindset (Experience working with large datasets) 1. Cross-Functional Communication (Ability to work with Accounting, Treasury, COE, and other teams) Nice-to-Have Skills 1. Strategic Problem Solving: Proactively identify gaps and drive effective solutions. 1. Domain Expertise: Experience in energy or data center related fields. 1. Process Excellence: Document, automate, and scale processes through effective mapping and continuous improvement. 1. Vision Alignment: Cultivate a shared vision for a common and consistent approach. 1. Effective Communication: Maintain clear, proactive, and strong communication for successful relationship management. Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities: β€’ Manage and improve billing and payment processes, including monthly/quarterly reconciliation of invoices, accruals, and GL entries. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, accounting, energy analytics) to resolve payment/data issues and support billing for Client’s growing data center portfolio. β€’ Identify and implement process automation.
