Senior BI/Report Developer

📍 Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite Required) 💼 Employment Type: Long-term contractor working full-time onsite in Charlotte, NC. About the Role We’re looking for a Senior BI/Report Developer to support data warehousing and reporting projects for our clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges and enabling smarter, data-informed decisions. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, testing and optimizing data warehouse environments, reports, and analytics solutions. Note: This position requires onsite work in Charlotte, NC and the ability to work independently with limited supervision. Key Responsibilities • Modernize BI environments and transition to cloud-based platforms. • Translate business needs into scalable data and reporting solutions. • Define and maintain data quality and governance standards. • Architect and deploy data models for analytics and decision-making. • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and integration workflows. • Develop BI reporting. • Enhance data warehouse environments and reporting frameworks. • Deliver technical support and training to clients. • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of solutions and documentation. Core Competencies • Proficient in Visual Studio, SQL/T-SQL, and SSIS. • Advanced experience with stored procedures, views, functions, and indexing. • Strong understanding of data warehousing and database architecture. • Skilled in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI. • Experience with paginated reports and multimedia integration in dashboards. • Comfortable working with large, diverse datasets. • Public sector experience is a plus. • Strong foundation in data analytics and BI reporting. • Quick to learn new tools and technologies. • Self-driven and capable of managing tasks independently. Education & Experience 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (required) 📊 6+ years of experience in BI, data architecture, or related roles (preferred)
