Role description
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – Onsite & Remote) Duration: April 2026 – August 2026 (Extension Possible) Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST Hours: Up to 750 hours Work Authorization: U.S.-based candidates only Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Business & Data Analyst to support enterprise system modernization and ongoing application enhancement initiatives within a large, complex technology environment. This role will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, helping translate business needs into actionable technical requirements. The selected consultant will perform business analysis, data analysis, process evaluation, and documentation to support modernization initiatives and ensure solutions align with overall enterprise strategy. The ideal candidate has strong experience analyzing complex data sets, documenting business processes, gathering requirements, and collaborating across cross-functional teams within Agile or hybrid development environments. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering β€’ Analyze and evaluate business systems, workflows, and user needs to support enterprise technology initiatives. β€’ Gather, document, and refine functional and technical requirements for application enhancements and modernization efforts. β€’ Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and system specifications. Data Analysis & Insights β€’ Analyze raw data sets and system data structures to support business and technical decision-making. β€’ Identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities through data analysis. β€’ Support validation of system changes and ensure data integrity during application updates. Process Improvement & Business Transformation β€’ Conduct business process analysis and process reengineering to improve operational efficiency. β€’ Document current-state and future-state workflows using industry-standard process mapping techniques. β€’ Identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements to business operations. Solution Evaluation & Documentation β€’ Prepare solution options, risk assessments, and financial analyses, including cost/benefit and ROI evaluations. β€’ Document detailed descriptions of user requirements, system functionality, and implementation steps for application enhancements. β€’ Ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions. Stakeholder Coordination & Program Support β€’ Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams such as architecture, application development, and support teams. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of system enhancements. β€’ Support documentation and oversight of application enhancement initiatives within large enterprise programs. Required Qualifications β€’ 8+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or related roles. β€’ Strong experience analyzing business systems and gathering requirements to support enterprise applications. β€’ Experience performing data analysis and interpreting complex datasets. β€’ Demonstrated experience documenting business processes, system workflows, and technical requirements. β€’ Experience preparing solution options, risk analysis, and cost/benefit assessments. β€’ Ability to work independently on complex projects with minimal supervision. β€’ Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Experience working in Agile or SAFe development environments. β€’ Experience supporting large enterprise system modernization initiatives. β€’ Familiarity with public-sector or healthcare-related systems. β€’ Project management or PMP certification is a plus. Work Environment β€’ Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – onsite and remote work) β€’ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM CST β€’ Occasional extended hours may be required to support project timelines.
