Our pharmaceutical client in Princeton, NJ is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer with strong hands-on experience in both Microsoft Power BI and Tableau to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-level dashboards and analytics solutions. This role will support data-driven decision-making across clinical, commercial, and operational teams in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau
• Translate business and stakeholder requirements into actionable BI solutions
• Develop complex data models and calculations using DAX (Power BI) and Tableau calculations
• Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources (SQL databases, Excel, APIs, cloud platforms)
• Ensure data accuracy, validation, and compliance with pharmaceutical standards
• Optimize dashboard performance and usability for executive and business users
• Enable self-service BI and automate recurring reports
• Document data sources, logic, and BI governance standards
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and executive-level insights as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics
• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau (required)
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI (required)
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and Tableau calculations
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and data transformation
• Experience working with large, complex datasets
• Ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or regulated environments is highly preferred
