Senior Business/Data Analyst

Luna Data is seeking a Business Analyst III for a long term contract opportunity in Austin. • This role requires onsite presence 4–5 days per week • Candidates must reside in the Austin area at time of submittal • Long term contract • Provide analysis work on assigned projects creating appropriate documentation and diagrams per said analysis. • Participate in projects in the analyst role providing understanding of business processes, participates and guides requirements gathering and translation to the technical specifications. • Reviews current systems and prepare potential solutions and documents for modernization efforts and roadmap strategies. Required Background • 10+ years of Business Analyst skilled in extracting business, functional and non-functional requirements from business units and IT staff. • 8+ years of experience with general IT SDLC processes. • 6+ years of documenting AS-IS and TO-BE process flows. • 6+ years of experience as a data analyst using various tools to analyze raw data and deliver the presentation of the data. • 6+ years of experience in data analysis and able to provide actionable recommendations, visualizations and identify areas for improvement. • 6+ years of experience collaborating with business stakeholders to identify and solve key business data challenges. • 6+ years of strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of users including executive staff. • 2+ years of experience with Texas State agencies.
