Data Analyst with Power BI or Tableau or Spotfire and Process Automation Experience Needed (Fully Remote Job) Location: Thousand Oaks, CA Terms: Contract W2 Only (No C2C or 1099) Duration : 12 Months Contract (Will Get Extended for Long) Required Tools & Technologies (Non-Negotiable) Must Have (Hands-On, Expert Level): • Power BI • Power Automate • Power Apps • Excel (advanced) • SharePoint (including SharePoint Lists) Strongly Preferred / Nice to Have: • Tableau, Spotfire (at least one visualization tool required) • Smartsheet • UI Path (not a deal breaker) • Microsoft ecosystem fluency overall Candidates must demonstrate real-world, hands-on usage, not theoretical or surface-level familiarity. Core Skill Expectations • Advanced data literacy (able to understand and communicate data concepts clearly) • Strong process automation capability • Ability to work independently with minimal direction • Fast execution and responsiveness • Ability to manage multiple concurrent analytics asks • Comfort owning projects end-to-end after onboarding period Industry & Domain Preferences • Preferred industries: o Biopharmaceutical o Biotech o Medical Device • Functional experience a plus: o R&D o Supply Chain / Supplier Management Candidate Experience Bachelor’s degree required Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience (more experience is acceptable) Skill Sets: 1. Data Visualization & Analytics – Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau (or Spotfire), with the ability to create clear, compelling dashboards and visualizations that drive insight and action. 1. Data Transformation & Management – Strong experience processing, filtering, cleaning, standardizing, and restructuring large datasets, including the ability to pivot and reform data based on evolving business needs (e.g., MS Lists, Power Apps) 1. Automation, AI & Advanced Tools – Experience with process automation (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath), applied AI use cases, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. 1. Experience in biotech, biopharma, medical device OR R&D environments is a strong plus (Will consider first during hiring processes)
