Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to lead data-driven initiatives and provide strategic insights across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in data analysis, visualization, and database management, utilizing advanced tools and methodologies to support business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of SDLC, project management, and agile practices to deliver high-quality analytics solutions. The Senior Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights that drive decision-making.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization tools to communicate key metrics effectively.
Design and implement ETL processes utilizing Talend, Bash (Unix shell), and other scripting languages to ensure accurate data integration from multiple sources such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Linked Data.
Perform comprehensive data analysis using SQL, R, Python, VBA, and analytics techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Lead database design efforts ensuring optimal structure for business analysis and reporting needs.
Manage projects related to data architecture, ensuring adherence to SDLC principles while working within Agile frameworks.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data solutions.
Conduct business analysis to support strategic initiatives and process improvements.
Oversee the development of data models and documentation using Visio for clear communication of system architecture.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms.
Mentor junior analysts and coordinate with project teams on deliverables.
Experience
Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist with a strong portfolio of projects involving complex data sets.
Extensive knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization tools.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend; scripting skills in Bash (Unix shell) are preferred.
Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle databases, and Linked Data integration techniques.
Strong programming skills in R, Python, VBA, with familiarity in analysis skills using these languages.
Experience working within SDLC processes and Agile project management methodologies.
Knowledge of database design principles and experience with database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
Familiarity with Business Analysis practices to interpret requirements effectively.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
