Role description
Seasoned analyst with years of experience in the utility/energy field. Candidate should have an analytic background and experience in utility modeling and forecasting. Must understand the Utility Market (Energy/Commodity Options market) and its impact analytics, including the impact of energy on the government sector. Familiarity with key partners such as NY Power Authority, Client, National Grid, and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP; NYC Water) is desired. Experience with Utility Management firms (e.g., AvidXchange™ Utility Billing Software) or consulting firms is beneficial. Knowledge of the residential market and alternative energy technologies (solar, heat pump, etc.) is preferred.
Daily Duties/Tasks
• Review and perform data validation of utility data (consumption, expense, detailed utilization review)
• Daily review and monitoring of utility market data (Energy/Commodity Options market), modeling, and forecasting
• Analyze utility usage data, identify trends, and generate reports
• Test and maintain billing systems and perform other administrative tasks
