Senior Data Analyst – Analytics Engineer
6 Month Contract
£510 per day (Inside IR35)
Hybrid Working – London (3 Days Office / 2 Days Remote)
The Opportunity
Our client is a globally recognised leader in media, entertainment, and streaming, delivering world-class content and digital experiences to audiences around the world. As part of an ongoing investment in data and analytics capabilities, they are seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer to play a key role in transforming complex data into actionable business insights.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, data-driven environment, partnering with stakeholders across multiple business functions to develop scalable analytics solutions, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive data-led decision making.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design, development, and delivery of dashboards and data visualisations using Power BI, Excel, SQL, Tableau, and/or Power Automate.
• Gather and document requirements from business stakeholders, translating complex business needs into robust analytical solutions and data workflows.
• Own data quality processes, including data cleaning, transformation, validation, and modelling to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
• Establish, maintain, and enhance best practices for data modelling, reporting, and visualisation standards.
• Present analytical findings, trends, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a clear and engaging manner.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to automate data processes, optimise reporting infrastructure, and improve existing analytics frameworks.
• Act as a strong team contributor and leader, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, Power BI Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Excel, with experience using Tableau and/or Power Automate.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality dashboards, reporting solutions, and analytics products.
• Strong experience gathering requirements and managing stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Extensive knowledge of data cleaning, transformation, modelling, and preparing datasets for scalable analytics solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to create intuitive, user-focused, and visually compelling dashboards.
• Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
• Power BI and/or Azure certifications are highly desirable.
• Python experience would be advantageous.
• Previous Business Analyst experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Must be UK-based and able to commute to the London office three days per week.
