Role description
Akkodis is seeking a β βData Analyst 3β for a Contract position with a client located in Remote (CST & EST Preferred).
Pay Range: $60-$65/hr. (The rate/salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.).
Summary:
The main function of a Data Analyst 3 is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. This hands-on role combines data analysis with operational planning and coordination. In this task-oriented position, you will have clearly defined deliverables to achieve within the year β from developing advanced analytics dashboards to streamlining planning processes. You will leverage your advanced Power BI skills (DAX, data modeling, dashboard automation) to turn supply chain data into actionable insights and support critical decision-making, all in a fully remote environment.
Job Responsibilities:
β’ Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies
β’ Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions
β’ Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes
β’ Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes
β’ Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications
Skills:
β’ Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze supply chain data, track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, service levels, and lead times, and perform root-cause analysis of supply chain problems (e.g., demand spikes, supply disruptions).
β’ Power BI Dashboard Development: Use Power BI at an expert level. Create and maintain interactive dashboards that visualize supply chain performance in real time. Build robust data models and write complex DAX calculations to support analysis of scenarios (e.g., βwhat ifβ supply/demand changes). Automate data refreshes and ensure dashboards are user-friendly for stakeholders.
β’ Decision Support & Execution: Translate data insights into actionable plans. Prepare and present summaries and presentations for supply chain leadership. Support the execution of approved actions by coordinating with relevant teams and tracking the outcomes.
β’ Experience with database technologies
β’ Expert proficiency in Power BI (dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX).
β’ Advanced analytical skills; high proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas; VBA a plus).
β’ Experience with SQL or other data tools is beneficial.
β’ Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deliver results on time.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Experience collaborating in cross-functional and remote teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
β’ 5+ years of experience is preferred, especially in a global or multi-site supply chain environment.
β’ Experience in project-based or contract roles.
β’ Experience in supply chain operations. Familiarity with industry-specific supply chain challenges or seasonal planning cycles.
β’ Familiarity with ERP or supply chain planning systems (e.g. SAP IBP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Kinaxis).
β’ Knowledge of database or scripting languages (SQL, Python, R) for advanced analysis or data automation.
β’ Certifications: APICS CPIM/CSCP, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or Microsoftβs Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) are a plus.
β’ Masterβs degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
β’ This role requires the ability to navigate a complex organization, work independently, and drive results.
β’ Knowledge of the ETL process
β’ Knowledge of at least one scripting language
β’ Strong written and oral communication skills
β’ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
β’ Demonstrated history of success
β’ Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions
Education/Experience:
β’ Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
β’ 5-7 years applicable experience required
Work Arrangement & Tools (Remote Role):

β’ Communication: Daily interactions occur via Microsoft Teams for messaging and email for formal updates.
