Senior Data Analyst - Data Steward

Sr. Data Analyst – Merchandising Data (Enterprise Data Integration) Location: 100% Remote Actively searching for a Sr. Data Analyst to support an enterprise-wide data integration initiative. This is not a reporting or BI dashboard role — instead, you’ll work at the root level of merchandising, supply chain, and customer transaction data, ensuring it’s accurate, clean, and ready for downstream use by data science and analytics teams. What You’ll Do: • Collect, analyze, validate, and cleanse raw retail data before it enters the enterprise data platform • Apply statistical and logical checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency • Partner with merchandising, planning, and supply chain teams to resolve data anomalies • Identify and fix gaps in data collection processes and recommend improvements • Work across business and technical teams to resolve issues in merchandising, store, online, and buying/planning data • Support enterprise data quality standards and governance initiatives What We’re Looking For: • Retail or merchandising industry experience required (grocery, big box, specialty retail, or e-commerce) • Strong SQL (complex queries, joins, CTEs) and Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) • Experience with data quality, data governance, or master data management tools a major plus • Power BI familiarity is a plus, but this is not a BI role • Ability to work in a matrixed retail environment with cross-functional teams
