Title: Senior Data Analyst- Data Visualization Location: Alpharetta, GA, (Hybrid) 06+ Months Contract Overview We are seeking a highly skilled data visualization and analytics professional to help transform fragmented reporting into scalable, interactive, and actionable dashboard solutions. This role requires a unique combination of data visualization expertise, backend data engineering knowledge, and strong stakeholder communication skills. The ideal candidate will move the organization beyond static reporting and manual spreadsheet-driven processes by designing intuitive dashboards backed by reliable, well-structured data pipelines and automated workflows. This is not a traditional BI developer role. Success in this position requires someone who understands both the technical backend of data systems and the business context behind the data being presented. Key Responsibilities Dashboard & Visualization Strategy Design and develop interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Create intuitive, actionable visualizations that improve decision-making and data storytelling. Replace fragmented static reports, spreadsheets, and manual reporting processes with centralized dashboard solutions. Build dashboards that allow end users and project managers to interact with, update, and maintain operational data through user-friendly interfaces. Improve clarity and consistency across large reporting environments with thousands of existing dashboards. Data Engineering & Backend Development Work closely with backend data systems to ensure dashboards are built on accurate, scalable, and trusted data sources. Develop and maintain integrations with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems. Support and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes. Build scripting and automation solutions to eliminate manual spreadsheet generation and streamline reporting workflows. Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to improve overall data architecture and governance. Data Quality & Governance Validate data sources and ensure reporting accuracy and reliability. Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies in current data structures. Help establish scalable reporting standards and best practices for dashboard development. Support initiatives to improve data quality before implementing more advanced analytics capabilities. Stakeholder Engagement Partner with business leaders, PMs, analysts, and technical teams to understand reporting needs and operational challenges. Translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights. Lead discussions around dashboard usability, reporting strategy, and process improvement. Act as a consultative partner rather than a task-based developer. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in data analytics Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI. Strong backend data experience, including: Snowflake API integrations SQL and scripting Data lakes and enterprise data platforms Experience building automated reporting and data workflows. Strong understanding of data modeling, data validation, and reporting architecture. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to explain technical solutions in a practical, business-focused manner. Experience working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Tableau and/or Grafana. Knowledge of identity and access management concepts. Experience modernizing reporting environments and reducing reliance on manual processes. Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics or automation tools. Experience operating in fast-paced enterprise or transformation environments.
