Work Type: Contract

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Report Writer to support the development of a data-driven platform that presents school system data in a clear, actionable, and user-friendly manner. This role focuses on transforming complex datasets into insights and recommendations that help organizations identify priorities, set goals, and measure progress.
The ideal candidate is strong in data analysis, data storytelling, dashboarding, and low-code platforms, with the ability to communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze school system and program data to generate clear insights and practical recommendations.
• Translate data findings into dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools that support decision-making.
• Build and maintain low-code solutions (e.g., Power Platform, forms, surveys, or similar tools) to display data and collect inputs.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations that allow users to view data in one centralized location.
• Design automated data collection and tracking tools to support progress and performance monitoring.
• Analyze data across multiple plans or requirements to identify overlaps, gaps, and redundancies.
• Build scoring tools and trackers (e.g., Excel-based scorecards) to evaluate applications, progress, and outcomes over time.
• Present data insights in a clear and accessible way for non-technical stakeholders.
• Work independently, manage tasks asynchronously, and meet project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in data analytics and data storytelling
• 8+ years of experience with low-code platforms or tools
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced analysis and reporting)
• 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or similar)
• Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Qualtrics, Smartsheet, or similar tools
• Experience working with education, government, or public-sector data
• Familiarity with statutory, compliance, or policy-related datasets
• Experience reducing duplication across systems, plans, or reporting requirements
• Background in education, public sector, civic tech, or related fields
