Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with advanced expertise in Microsoft Access, Excel, and strong analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in strengthening control plans, identifying gaps across data sources, and producing meaningful reports to support decision-making within a financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Perform in-depth analysis of data points from multiple sources to identify gaps, strengthen control frameworks, and improve data quality.
β’ Design, develop, and maintain advanced Microsoft Access databases, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability.
β’ Utilize Advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, VBA) to build models, automate processes, and reconcile complex datasets.
β’ Write and execute complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large data sets.
β’ Support the development of Power BI dashboards and reports (preferred) to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
β’ Reconcile processes, applications, vendors, and contracts to ensure accurate and consistent reporting.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to understand critical financial processes and data requirements.
β’ Produce accurate, timely, and detailed reports for management and regulatory purposes.
Qualifications:
β’ Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within a financial institution or related industry.
β’ Advanced proficiency in MS Access (database design, queries, automation).
β’ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VBA scripting and Power Query.
β’ Strong ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries.
β’ Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools (preferred).
β’ Strong understanding of data reconciliation processes, vendor/contract analysis, and financial applications.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for identifying data inconsistencies and control gaps.
β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
