Splunk Data Analyst onsite! Chicago, CA $80 hourly 12 month contract + extensions Splunk Data Analyst / Cybersecurity Specialist We’re seeking a data-driven professional with deep Splunk expertise to analyze and visualize security-related datasets, automate workflows, and support incident response. This role blends technical rigor with strategic insight across cybersecurity, scripting, and data integration. Key Responsibilities: • Develop SPL queries and dashboards to extract insights from complex datasets • Analyze structured/unstructured data for security and compliance use cases • Automate data workflows using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Linux scripting • Integrate Splunk with tools like ServiceNow, Elastic, and cloud platforms • Support KPI reporting, metrics tracking, and cross-functional collaboration • Navigate Databricks and Oracle interfaces to access and interpret data Requirements: • Proven Splunk experience (SPL, dashboards, data models) building complex Splunk queries to analyze risk logs, building Splunk dashboards and configuring monitoring/alerting • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) • Familiarity with cybersecurity workflows and incident response • Experience with Databricks, Oracle, and cloud integrations • Splunk certifications preferred (Power User, Admin)
