Role description
Job Title: Sr HR Data Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: 03 Months Contract
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday)
β’ Job Description:
β’ In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and presenting employee data to improve workforce decisions in innovative ways that drive business performance and growth.
β’ You will collaborate with HR partners and business stakeholders to identify critical questions, design and execute analysis plans, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
β’ You will work across all areas of the talent lifecycle, including headcount and workforce planning, recruiting, career development, diversity and inclusion, organizational effectiveness, engagement, company culture, and retention.
β’ Partner with HR partners and functional teams (e.g. Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, Marketing, and M&A) to understand their business needs and translate them into actionable HR analytics projects.
β’ Develop reports in Workday to support analytics projects and stakeholders.
β’ Design and enhance Power BI dashboards using data visualization best practices.
β’ Develop and maintain a deep understanding of HR data sources and ensure data quality and integrity.
β’ Maintain and enhance recurring analytic deliverables (e.g., Employer of Choice Reporting, Talent Acquisition Staffing Model, & Monthly Business Review Materials).
β’ Prepare and stage data for analysis (i.e., data wrangling, cleaning, transforming, merging, and modeling).
β’ Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and correlations in key workforce metrics.
β’ Proactively identify workforce challenges and opportunities through predictive and prescriptive analytics techniques.
β’ Translate data into visually compelling stories and deliver presentations summarizing analytic findings.
β’ Stay up-to-date on emerging trends in HR analytics and recommend new tools and techniques to advance the teamβs capabilities.
Required Experience
β’ 5 years of relevant work experience with data and analytics.
β’ Experience developing custom Workday reports
β’ Ability to develop dashboards using Power BI dashboards and DAX
β’ Strong storytelling and presentation skills with the capability to effectively communicate complex concepts to senior leaders and non-experts both verbally and in writing.
β’ Critical thinking with a passion for data, analysis, and driving business outcomes.
β’ Ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.
β’ Strong commitment to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive employee information and an understanding of data security and privacy.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (e.g., PivotTables, Vlookup)
β’ Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics
β’ Critical thinking skills in formulating hypotheses, interpreting results.
Preferred Experience:
β’ Experience in data visualization and analysis tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, Qlik, or Tableau.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
β’ Technical capabilities in data wrangling, analytical techniques, internal and external benchmarking, and business analysis. Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R preferred.
β’ Experience in building and optimizing data warehouses, pipelines, and models. Experience with Google BigQuery preferred.
β’ Experience with Workday Analytics (Dashboards, Discovery Boards, Prism, Benchmarking, etc.) preferred.
β’ Formal Education, Qualifications or Training
β’ Bachelorβs degree in relevant fields such as Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, or Applied Mathematics.
